CarComplaints.com Notes: A frustrating electrical issue is causing an ever-present “door ajar†warning light for 2011-2013 Ford Edge owners. Even with the doors latched shut, faulty sensors convince the vehicle’s computer they aren’t. With no way to override the system, owners have no choice but to stare at the warning light, listen to the warning chimes when the car is stopped, and deal with interior lights that won’t shut off.
Am driving all along with music on and suddenly no music. The whole entertainment screen went blank as well as the dashboard. Crazy, don't know how fast or slow you're going. Had to pull over, power off the vehicle and wait a while. Almost like a CTL-ALT Delete function.
Sync system has been problematic since purchase. Dealer advice was to reload software. System finally has totally failed and replacement of sync computer is $1000 .
This system has been proven to be problematic and dealer should replace at no cost. If they ever want to sell me another ford car again this needs to be resolved. I have bought at least 3 vehicles from Hertriich ford dealer in Milton Delaware. I have asked if this is how they support their customers who have spent over $100k in the last ten years then I will find new dealer. Looking at purchasing new Ford Explorer at $40k + and we will see.
