CarComplaints.com Notes: A frustrating electrical issue is causing an ever-present “door ajar” warning light for 2011-2013 Ford Edge owners. Even with the doors latched shut, faulty sensors convince the vehicle’s computer they aren’t. With no way to override the system, owners have no choice but to stare at the warning light, listen to the warning chimes when the car is stopped, and deal with interior lights that won’t shut off.

Edge Limited V6

My 2011 Ford Edge suddenly stopped starting when I moved from NC to WV in November 2018. Had to have car towed 3 times, the last one to the local Ford Dealership who kept car for over a week and could never find a reason for my problem. They put on their diagnosis machine but advised it did not show any issues but yet car will not start. I can't afford to replace all sensors not knowing if this would resolve my issue and I surely cannot afford a new car payment and besides would get nothing if I wanted to trade or sell my Edge.

I am very frustrating that no one seems to know what the answer is to resolve my problem. I love my Edge but now I am sorry to have bought this one. Surely someone out there knows what my issue is and can give me the solution to fix my problem.

Any help WILL BE MUCH APPRECIATED.
