Customer brought vehicle in complaining that the Door Ajar Warning and Interior Lights would intermittently work/not work. After several hours of diagnostics for the electrical system, replaced the Smart Junction Box, problem still exists. Spoke to dealership, they recommend the door switch/actuator. Customer is returning next week for same issue. Hopefully this will fix the problem.
door sensor said, rear door open . the dome lighs come on. when i park the ford escape i have to open the hood up and pull out the horn fuse ,so the f,n lights and alarm will not go off all the time. what is ford waiting for i looks like this problem is with all thir car door sensors. who ever is in charge of this problem ,at ford shoud move their ass and fix this problem fast. this is sending a bad mesage,and pissing alot of coustomers off. i know people who own a ford will move on to another car componey to buy a new car when it is time.
its like back in the late 70:s ford had a reputation for (rust box) cars.
if ford steps up to the plate to help thir coustomers fix this problem,they would gain ,more busness because the customer they hilp wiil tell every one.hay ford cars are great because when a problem comes up theyfix it fast.
so hay ford, treat your customer right,and do the right thing. just dont take their money , and say to bad you already paid so we dont care. in thev long run, this will drive your bussness down. ps. ford remember people only remember the bad thing that happen .
