The contact owns a 2019 Ford Expedition. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked at the residence, the horn made an abnormally loud sound independently. The contact stated that there was a burning odor coming from the horn pad. The contact also stated that the fuse box had turned on and off. A dealer was contacted. The vehicle was taken to a dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the horn was burned, and the fuse box needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, and the horn and the fuse box were replaced several times. The contact stated that the failure had occurred on several occasions. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle needed to be diagnosed to determine the cause of the failure. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 89,500.
