This problem has been going since 1 week after I bought the Expedition. The car for no reason will just not start. The lights flash but it will not start. The first time I took it to Ford they said that the computer was slow and it acting as if it was rebooting itself. One week later I was at a different Ford dealership picking up a car and the Expedition died right in the service lane. They had for 2 weeks and they determined that the "Gateway Module" had gone bad. They replaced the module and the car ran for 1.5 weeks and it died again. It was not the Gateway Module. It was towed to a 3rd Ford dealership who had it for 1 week. They could not reproduce the problem. I drove it for 3 weeks and it did the same thing again. This time they determined it was the "Body Control Module." They have ordered the module but because of Covid-19 and the shutdown, they don't have one, they don't know when they will get one. I currently have the vehicle in my possession and they repair order is still open, even after 2 months. They said it could anywhere from 1 week, already passed, to 6 months. Ford has already started the TAR program where they buy it back, but I will give them one more week to get the module before I sell it back. I really like the car and really don't want to get rid of it but I may just have to. It amazes me that Ford would buy the vehicle back instead of finding the module it needs in an expeditious manner. I guess they just consider the cost of doing business.
