Recall 98V095000. Recall notice was received and dealer was contacted, and cannot remedy the problem because the replacement parts are not available, problem still exists.
Recall # 98V095000 Ford/lug nuts; dealer does not have parts to correct recall notice. Dealer has no idea when parts will become available. Owner has been contacting dealer since the month of June. Dealer finally received the parts, appointment has been made to have repair work done.
Recall 98S14, lugs:nuts:bolts; recall notice was received in June, 1998. Contacted the dealer approximately six times, and dealer did not have the replacement parts to remedy the problem. Consumer continues to drive the vehicle.
Recall # 98V095000 Ford/lugs: Nuts; owner never received 2nd recall notice. When son was driving the truck about 30-35 mph, the rear wheel on the driver's side almost came off because all the lughs nuts and studs came off the wheel except one.

Recall # 98vv09500, wheel lugs: Nuts: Bolts.; recall has not been repaired on this vehicle which may cause an accident. The occupant was trying for about 4 months to have vehicle repaired. Dealer claims it still on national back order.
When driving there is some shaking within the wheels, and received a recall notice concerning lugs: Nuts:bolts. The parts are not in, and the consumer doesn't like driving the vehicle due to waiting for the parts.
Had received recall notice in mail (98V095000) over 2 months ago. Been calling dealer every 2 weeks. Each time was told no parts available. Still waiting for lugs: Nuts. Manufacturer has not shipped parts to dealership.
Consumer had a flat tire. Took original tire off to be fixed. Once fixed, the tire was placed back on. While traveling at 30mph the wheels broke off due to faulty lugs: Nuts. Consumer received a recall letter from the manufacturer regarding the lugs: Nuts.
Consumer contacted the dealer in reference to NHTSA recall 98V095000, manufacturer's recall98S14; dealer refused to replace the lugs:nuts due to the consumer purchasing new tires at a tire shop. Tire shop replaced tires, and tires separated from the vehicle. Dealer stated the tire shop did not tighten the lugs: Nuts, and refused to replace them.
Recall 98V095000//98S14, lugs:nuts:bolts. Consumer states the parts are not available at the Ford manufacturer. Contacted two dealers since June, 1998. The recall notice should not have been sent out if the parts were not available.
Every 2 months passenger's rear wheel would become loose. Ford's description of lugs: Nuts tightening would overtorque it & cause it to fatigue & eventually break.

The dealer has been contacted numerous times. Appointments set up because they thought the parts were in. The dealer cannot remedy the problem because they still have no parts.

Received recall notice (#98V095000). Notified dealer & then took vehicle in on date. Mechanic never checked lugs: Nuts. Had them tightened instead. Old lugs: Nuts ruined rims. Mechanic said no parts available.

Consumer had taken the vehicle to dealer for repairs of the lugs: Nuts:bolts, but dealer did not had the parts to repair vehicle for the first time, and now the vehicle has the same problem. Dealer has been contacted. Consumer has became aware of recall 98S14, regarding the lugs/nuts/bolts. Steering not operating properly, it locks up when it rains. Transmission does not operate properly, consumer was informed of recall 97S86, however dealer stated that consumer would have to work with their schedule for repairs. Windshield wipers start by themselves. Turn signals worked too fast, dealer found a loose wire. Brakes did not work efficiently, takes a longer distance to stop. A/C was not cold enough. Serpentine belt was replaced. Door was out of adjustment, making it hard to open from the inside.
