The driver seat belt will not retract back and would fit loosely around the consumer. The dealership repaired the retractor 4 times, but the problem was not resolved......the first and second safety belts were replaced fully and partially under warranty. The third set now installed are due for replacement for the full cost of $220.

The passenger seat belt does not retract back, which is dangerous because the passenger can hit the windshield in an accident. Manufacturer was contacted by consumer.

My F150 P.U. has a stress crack in the curve of the door by the window. The latch is not tight enough, so the door is hard to shut. My windshield wipers turn on by themselves, the odometer light goes on & off, the seat belts do not recoil & the "door ajar" light gets stuck, eventhough all doors are reshut. Engine sometimes runs rough eventhough has just had 60,000 mile check. The Ford dealership wants to charge me for new part to fix odometer light $300+plus labor, $58 for door part+labor. Haven't talked to them about "rough running", I'm sure they'll want more $$ to fix it too.

Front seat belts fails to retract after usage. Driver's would hang down, out the door while passenger's would be partially down. Had taken to dealership twice for retractor problems. Mechanic indicated work will not be done on safety equipment.

Seat belts do not retract quickly and completely when released, a weak retraction spring and the upper plastic locater yoke and the cloth seat exert too much friction. Both seat belts were replaced, however failed after one use, driver side was replaced again and failed, there is a recall, 00V348, however this is for 2001 models.
