Touched the screen three times to answer phone. The fourth time, i pressed the "send" button, the screen "starred" around my fingertip. I took it to my dealer. The dealer called later to say that Ford would not fix the problem because something else hit the screen. I called Customer Relations next but they said it was the dealer who reported that something hit the screen. Either way, Ford will not replace the screen.

I have been a computer engineer for 26+ years and worked with touch screens for many of those. If something hits the screen, the LCD panel behind the glass is damaged. My LCD is perfect; only the glass is broken. The problem appears to be that the glass is much too thin for an 8 inch screen. My iPad has a 9 inch screen and i tried pressing much harder to see if it would even flex like the MySync LCD. It wouldn't. I didn't want to test it further than pressing with my finger but I couldn't do damage.

This is a serious problem that costs $850 or more to repair. I hate to say this but after 9 new Fords, this will be my last. My middle child goes to college next year and will not be getting the promised Ford. She will most likely be getting a Toyota as I have never had problems getting defective items repaired however few there were.
