F-150 XLT 5.0L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 90,000 miles

I carried my Ford F150 4x4 5.0 v-8 to the local dealership and at first they said the knock was normal waited a couple of weeks and carried it back this was in March 2016. My truck was at the dealership for 5 full months. They said the engine was bad and the first remanufactured engine sounded rough. The second remanufactured engine is knocking now. The mechanic said he didn't know what else to do. Will have to wait for a engineer to come and look at it. So I brought the truck home and Ford does not know how to fix their trucks. I have a extended warranty and it worthless just like a Ford truck. I have called the customer service hotline and takes two weeks for them to call back and they will give you the run around...... First and last Ford!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

engine runs rough

Charger cooler on F1-50 3.5 turbo cooling air down too quickly especially in humid climates. And what this does it sends moisture in droplet form instead of vapor form into bank 2 on plug 4,5 & 6. Causing it to misfire so bad that it sends raw fuel down into the cat and which could potentially melt it very quickly. Also, there are problems with the spark plugs cracking. I have had to replace coil packs and plugs twice.

My Ford F-150 has a grinding noise after starting up and i've had it at the dealership twice already they said they can,t duplicate it long enough to pinpoint it. I have an appointment again this week 06/03/2013 for the third time getting fed up with it already.

F-150 FX2 3.5L Ecoboost

  • Automatic transmission
  • 1,400 miles

Some mornings when it is cool out my truck runs very rough. The Check engine light flashes during this rough running and stops when it smooths out.

Dealer says there are no trouble codes in the system so nothing can be wrong, I keep telling them, "Something has got to be wrong"

Update from Aug 12, 2012: Sent a letter to Bartow Ford's service manager expressing my concern and I got no reply. Bartow Ford has lost a customer for life.
