Contacted Ford Customer Complaint Line they did not respond. Windshield cracked just above the rear view mirror on highway 101 North of Healdsburg California.. Stress fracture of some sort the Auto Repair shop found no damage from any foreign object. Poor Windshield quality and stiff aluminum Frame.. Not an unusual problem can happen on warm days on slightly bumpy highways.. Ford does not acknowledge the problem!

Two weeks after I purchased my new truck, the windshield cracked after a pea size pebble hit just below the wiper (trapped the pebble for me to see) at nominal speed of 45 mph. It made a minuscule pit in the windshield, almost impossible to notice. 6 hours later, before I could get it in for chip repair - a crack started that ran 3/4 up my windshield within a few hours. Very soft defective glass. Would not even consider safe for windshield.

Very small pebble caused a running crack on my truck windshield during the 2nd month I owned it. My employer paid to replace. Less than a year later a big chip in the windshield from a very small pebble. For some reason these windshields are extremely fragile.

Driver side window has a stress crack ( lower front) part of window). When I went to my dealer, the service department said that it was not a stress crack & appeared to be shot with BB/Rock. I accepted their explanation & purchased a $400 replacement window from their parts Dept. When replacement came in they took my glass out but had to reinstall when they found the replacement cracked. They reordered & when they checked, it was cracked also. They have ordered the 3rd replacement which has not come in. This has been going on since April? We think we have seen other F150 with similar cracks? Not sure what installation is going to cost if and when they get a good replacement in? In the mean time, the crack is continuing to get larger. Would be interested to know if anyone else has experienced this problem?

my front windshield started cracking on the very bottom

There appears to be no point of impact and within 2 days my entire windshield has cracks and lines in it. The quality should be a lot better being built Ford tough.
