Dealer damaged 3 of the four door apnels when installing the locks - how? Who the f knows? They tried to repaint the door handle covers in place and created more damage - then tried to pass it off without saying anything.

They replaced the door panels after another trip to the dealer.

I took the truck in back in Feb of 2017 because the doors were frozen and would not open. Dealer said there is a TSB for the problem and that they have to install shields in the doors to keep the water out of the latches. The parts were ordered but they never call me to have them installed.

In Aug 2017 I took it in for a couple of other warranty problems and have the doors repaired. They had the truck for 9 days and installed the shields in the doors. 2 weeks ago around Jan 15th 2018 I took it back because the doors would not unlock. They had it 2 days and did nothing. Stated that they had done the recall and that no additional work could be done under the recall order. As I was leaving the dealer they suggested I spray the doors with WD-40. Why didn't they do that and ask me to try it as a fix? I have to wait to see if we get another cold snap to see if the doors freeze. If that happens I will have to have it towed to them and see if they have a fix then?

Well, now the doors and tailgate are not opening again. Can't blame weather it is in the 60's. Unless Fords do not work at any temperature. Called Ford dealer and waiting to hear back. Ready to go back to Chevys. Went back out to truck and just kept clicking FOB until I got doors open. I had already tried the buttons outside driver door. It is not like I am 5 min ride away from dealership. Each trip is 30+ miles each way. I was just there day before. What is the next electrical problem going to be. Seriously thinking of trading this lemon in. I have had fords before but am very disappointed in these new Fords.

The doors on my truck would freeze to the frame, making it difficult to open. Once opened, however, the locking mechanisms on the doors would not engage, thereby leaving the door free to open and not lock. I attempted to lock the doors using the buttons and manually by pressing down on the locks with no success. I live in Northern California, but along the coast so the temperatures here are moderate, only getting down to 20 degrees on a cold night. This problem seems to occur even at 30 degrees. I have mentioned this to my dealer's service department, but they are unaware of the problem and have no solution.

Since the weather has gotten cold (<30F) and about once a week the driver's side door won't latch shut. We need to wait until the car warms up for it to finally latch and stay shut. The local dealership says Ford knows about the problem but they don't have the parts yet and have no way of knowing when they'll be in.

Driver side door on my 2016 ford F-150 platinum will not close in cold weather. I can open the door, then go to shut it to start the truck, and the door just bounces, the locking mechanism to the door appears to be affected by cold weather? i had a 2013 toyota tundra before this ford and never had an issue with the door not locking correctly. I had to drive while holding the door shut, this seems like a big safety issue that ford needs to address.

2016 Ford F 150 Supercrew 4 X 4 Sport XLT pack.

Last week, took out for test drive, looked at the inside and out, made sure the options worked and looked good- all. Bought the next day, not even a week old with 200kms.

Drove home about 200kms, avoiding highway for break in of tires 500 kms and motor 1600 kms. Drove smooth, no noise or etc. Wind was blowing, so at stop lights not sure if that I felt the wind or vibes from something else. Smelled something not burning, but maybe paint or something under the hood getting warm to make the smell. Satellite radio seemed to work, no drop signals as I read on many posts. Drove up and down hills with turns. Seemed ok.

Now the BS-

Weds- -10 C temp- All doors unlocked/locked, excepted the driver's side back door, the door lock knobs didn't open or close using the remote and on the buttons on door. I can hear all the other doors solenoids/actuators work on the other doors, but the driver's side back door I don't hear it nor do I see the door lock knob go up when opening & go down when closing using the remote and on the console. Fri- same temp, all locks work. Salesperson says cold weather. Mmmmmm..... ok, need to fix anyhow. Seemed to work today after opening/closing several times.

Sat 1/7/17 found water droplets on driver side front back door lock hinges. Sunlight was on that side. Opposite side, no water droplets. On all 4 lock hinges (all painted black), nicks from door lock mechanism. (See pics).

Read posts on the tailgate/door alignments. Owners are having trouble closing, but driving, that's an health and safety issue. Went to check mine, of course, all are looking as if they are flexed outward or not closed- yes, they are all closed. Again, read posts that owners took to dealers and it made it worse or nothing was changed. On door handle, not sure if it's leaking because I see a water spot (See pics).

Not even 1 week taken ownership with 200kms 1 driver driving no other drivers or occupants and all this BS.

Please advise on what to do. Just as all on this and other sites are pissed off and have every right to be. Paid good money for unsatisfactory results. At this point, want to return and get money back.

I've had this issue happen multiple times since I've had to start parking my truck outside. This morning it was 6 degrees outside. I opened the rear passenger door of my crew cab, and it would not close. I slammed it and slammed it and slammed it, and it wouldn't latch closed. Then finally it grabbed and latched closed.

I got to work and tried to close my driver side front door, and same thing, slammed, and slammed, and wouldn't latch. I fidgeted with the latch a bit and it still wouldn't grab. Then, finally, after a couple minutes of making sure all the edges were clear of any ice crystals, it grabbed.

Drivers and passenger doors freeze up and will not close till vehicle warms up. Vehicle at dealers now and I have a loaner. Dealer states the doors needs gaskets and all parts associated to the latches . Also told Ford knows about this since 2015. Today my dealer ordered the parts and they are back ordered with no parts presently available in Canada or USA. Unknown when they would be available. Definite safety issue.

This dealer had 8 similar complaints by midday today and appears to be now a major issue.

Nov. 21st. the drivers door on my 2016 Ford F-150 would not latch closed. I tried opening and shutting the door firmly a half dozen times with no success. I had to manually lock the door to keep it from flying open. After 20 minutes of driving, the heater warmed the door and it finally would close and latch properly. The door opened and closed well all day. The next morning the door latch was frozen and the door wouldn`t close again. I brought the truck to the dealership to be repaired. They said a lever cable inside the door needs to be replaced and the part will arrive tomorrow. Has anyone else had this issue? Does it end well?

got to work again this morning and the door did not latch when I got out, played again with the door and could not get to latch, went out for the day doing outside sales calls. Again about 2 hours into the day on the street and it finally latched after I slammed again. Went back by the auto start people who again said it had nothing to do with the auto start and the owner brought up on the internet several FORD F150 door latch issues. Will be going back to Ford dealer Kendall today. Got down to them a few hours later and have appointment for tomorrow. Did not get a chance to talk with Gabe about his lying to me about he had never heard of this issue before but if this is the way I am going to be treated by a Ford Dealer I mite as well go back to Chevy.

I do love my truck but why deal with all the bull sh*t from the dealer rep, as simple sorry this is happening to you and we will get it fixed would have eliminated this whole rant from me.
