The contact owns a 2018 Ford F-150. The contact stated that he used the remote start feature to start the vehicle; while entering the vehicle he noticed that the rear windshield had shattered, with the rear defroster activated. The contact researched and became aware that similar vehicles has experienced the same failure. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer was contacted or made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 59,000.
I went to wipe the Black glass with wet cloth. and the defogger gridlines wiped off. Apparently they had overheated and became delaminated. This could be a sever over heating and could cause have caused the rear glass to explode /shatter. Looking through the internet this is common issue on F150s
