Heard a loud clanging noise coming from the right rear tire area of the truck. I removed the center cap on my tire and noticed the axel bolt was sheared off. I drove to the dealership, they looked it over and kept the truck to repair it. They have to order the parts and not sure when it will be fixed. They did mention that they had seen another F150 with the same problem.

This problem has been ongoing, happening nonstop up to multiple times daily since Feb of 2022 and has spent now 70 days at the dealership in search of the issue. Luckily, the vehicle has not caused an incident yet, but I am afraid to drive it if I get it back from the dealer again as the issue has just gotten worse. The vehicle randomly while driving goes into a "limp mode" in which 1 of 2 things happens. 1) If unable to pull over immediately, the vehicle has very erratic throttle control and 2) the vehicle sometimes gives a warning about the "adavancetrack" system and will sometimes shift itself into neutral out of nowhere forcing you to coast to a stop no matter where or what type of street you are on. In researching this problem to help my dealer at first and now to try and protect myself while in a battle with ford, it seems to be a common problem discussed on many forums on the internet and facebook and seems quite common among the F-150 powerboost. Ford is refusing me a buyback at this time and ignoring the safety implications that my vehicle is having

My pickup was at the dealer getting an oil change and tire rotation (23140 miles) and I was informed that the right rear axle bolt had sheared requiring replacement of the axle assembly and that it was not safe for me to drive the vehicle off the lot. This is the second time that the right rear axle bolt has sheared. The first time, the axle assembly was replaced at this same dealer at 14482 miles. I no longer have the original bolt that sheared, I will request the second sheared bolt so it could be inspected if needed. I do not know what the safety ramifications are except to say that both times, Ford said it was not safe for me to drive the truck off the lot. There are numerous reports of rear axle bolts shearing in 2021/2022 F-150s with the Max Tow package (apparently, this package has a different axle configuration) on the Internet. For example: https://www.f150forum.com/f129/2021-powerboost-rear-rotor-axle-bolt-sheared-515460/index21/#post7265683 The vehicle has been inspected (and the axle assembly replaced already once) by my local Ford dealer. It is currently being held by the dealer for the second repair. There were no warning lights, noises or any other indications that the axle bolt had sheared. When the first bolt sheared, I heard a rattle from the right rear tire and I expected to find a broken lug bolt or loose lug nut but instead found the sheared axle bolt. No noises were heard when the second bolt sheared.

Both rear axle retaining bolts snapped. The only thing holding the axles in was the brake rotors and calipers. Had they not started squeaking and grinding, I would not have known those critical bolts had broken! At the dealership now being repaired. With the same faulty methods and parts. VERY common problem for the F150 Powerboost with the Max-Tow package.

The 10 speed transmission used in Ford vehicles is plagued with problems to include, skipping gears while shifting, very harsh upshifts and very harsh downshifts. It's just a matter of time when a failure of this transmission will cause a serious accident. My 2021 F150 exhibits this behavior on a frequent basis yet the Ford dealers tell me this behavior is normal. Every Ford F150 owner I have spoken too are experiencing the same problems. Why isn't NHTSA doing anything about this" Or does it only matter when an accident occurs where is loss of life"

Truck was due for oil change and tire rotation so I brought it to the dealer I purchased it from on Friday, 24-Feb-2024. When the service tech removed the driver side rear tire, the spindle nut securing the wheel hub to the axle fell on the ground due to a fracture (picture attached) in the mating threaded part of the axle. Was informed of customer satisfaction campaign 22B34 and a replacement part was ordered and installed the next day. The failure occurred sometime between 01-Sep-2022 at 19,384 miles when the tires were last rotated and 24-Feb-2023 at 28,085 miles. It appears to have occurred some time ago as the fracture portion is oxidized and there's quite a bit of marking to the outer circumference as I assume it was rattling around in the wheel assembly for some time.

Truck has 30,129 miles driven. As car shifted into gear to drive, it suddenly went into neutral gear while driving. This was following a loud bang like sound followed by a rough shift into neutral. Truck eventually shifted back into gear. Truck has been at dealership for about a month, waiting for parts to repair/replace the transmission. Dealer service provider stated that this was a manufacturing problem.

Ford has issued two recalls for my vehicle. I've included the Campaign/NHTSA# for each below. 22S53/22V623 22S26/22V250 In each case I have sought to have the vehicle repaired and in each case my dealer has said that Ford does not have parts available for their service department to make the repair. I've waited a reasonable time without any update from either Ford or my dealer prior to submitting this complaint. Ford has an obligation to make recall repairs within a reasonable time of announcing the recall. Their failure to do so could place consumers in danger. Otherwise, why would they initiate the recall in the first place? Anyway, I thought this was unacceptable and felt the need to complain. Thanks, [XXX] INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

Took our vehicle in for regularly scheduled maintenance - oil change and tire rotation. Received a call from the dealership stating that when they removed the left rear tire the axle retainer bolt was broken and fell out. The service technician phoned to let us know that this needs to be fixed and would have to order parts. Also informed us that there is CSP BULLETIN 22B34 issued on February 14, 2023 for certain 2021 F150-€™s. This recall only pertains to vehicles built between May and September 2021. Our truck was built in December 2021 and is not included in this bulletin. However, my vehicle has experienced the same critical failure as trucks built between May and September. In addition, this part is on a national back order with no known date of when the part will be available. I am bringing this matter to your attention because this is a serious safety issue and needs to be addressed. Unsuspecting individuals can be driving their vehicles without any knowledge of this potential safety issue. My truck is currently at the dealership and I only have the above information that was provided by the Ford dealership-€™s service department.

UNKNOWN: I was driving through light to moderate rain. I was following traffic probably at about 35 mph. I was driving in normal mode (no cruise control active) I saw a warning message out of the corner of my eye pop up on my dash (I didn't see what it was because it went away quickly after it came up). Soon after that, a bunch of warning messages started popping up on my dash one after the other. Then my engine shut off (dash still working, sync still working, power steering still working, brakes still working). Luckily, I was able make a turn and then coast into a gas station. Could have been a different story if I was somewhere else. I came to a stop, put it in park, (this is the unfortunate part, I franticly clicked through all the warnings without reading them), then I pressed the start button and turned the truck off. If I was the guess at what I remember seeing, I think I saw messages related to blind spot monitoring and other driver assistance stuff. After about a minute, I turned the truck back on. It turned over fine, but only idled about 20 seconds, and then turned off. Same situation as before except I wasn't moving this time. After calling a few people and a tow truck company (maybe 30 minutes later), I tried one more time to turn on the truck. This time it stayed on and idled normally. I left it on for about 10 minutes and then shut if off. I ended up having it towed because I didn't want to test my luck driving it. It is currently at a Ford dealership being serviced. The latest update that I have received is that the tech ran a diagnostic and could not duplicate the issue.

Rear Axel Bolt Failure. Please help. This has been an issue for over a year with newer F150s. Most failures occur on the "Max Trailer Tow Packages" with the "floating rear axel". You'll see multiple failures on new trucks. Mine has ~18k miles. Dealer says it's unsafe to drive. Many are finding broken bolts incidentally when getting tires rotated. Others like myself hear it rattling. Someone will get hurt. I have a rental car provided by ford because it's deemed unsafe.

Rear Axle bolt broke while driving. I have visited the dealer and made an appointment. They have told me that the truck should not be driven aggressively, and that they will have the truck for a few days for the repair. After being on Ford Forum, I am seeing that this is a common faulty part that seems to be occurring quite often. In some cases both axle bolts on the same vehicle has broken. We are in the winter months and this is causing my 4 -Wheel drive to not operate/function correctly.

While traveling at around 70 mph, the truck felt like it losing power. As I further step on the accelerator, the truck didn't response. The truck then jerked and shifted to gear 9 and jerk again then shifted back to gear 10. This happen for about 10 to 15 minutes and back to normal. During this time the truck loss the ability to accelerate. This happen during the cruise control engaged and also happen without the cruise control engaged. When this happen, the truck had about 35,000 miles and it happened during a road trip from Southern California to Flagstaff, AZ. The problem also happened on the way home. The problem was not observed as the truck travel at 65 mph or less.
