Some 2021 F-150 vehicles built on 06-Sep-2020 and through 24-Jan-2021 may experience the climate temperature control is inoperative or does not operate correctly. The vehicle may exhibit diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) B1081 and/or B1082 in the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) module. This may be due to a software issue with the HVAC module. To correct the condition, update the HVAC module using the latest level of the appropriate Ford diagnostic scan tool. If the condition persists, refer to Workshop Manual, Section 412-00 and continue with normal diagnostics. For claiming, use causal part number 19980 and applicable labor times from the Service Labor Times Standard (SLTS) Manual.
