Some 2021 F150 vehicles may exhibit a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) U0253:00 stored in the ABS module. This DTC will not cause observable conditions or result from concerns with other vehicle systems. Diagnose all other DTCs before addressing U0253:00. This DTC should be disregarded when performing diagnostics for concerns unrelated to the ABS system. If an ABS system concern is present, perform normal diagnostics. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), section 206-09 > anti-lock brake system > diagnosis and testing. Ford is working on a software update that is expected via over the air (OTA) to resolve this informational DTC that is expected by June 2022.
