Some 2021 F-150 vehicles not equipped with a 360 camera system (minor feature code J3KAB, found by double-clicking the top left vehicle identification number (VIN) on OASIS) may exhibit an inoperative rear camera on demand feature when the rear camera button is pressed. This may be due to the software level of the SYNC module (APIM). To correct this condition, follow the Service Procedure to update the APIM via a coordinated flash along with image processing module A (IPMA) and instrument panel cluster (IPC) to the latest software level.
