The F250 oil pan on the 7.3 has a problem rusting out due to poor engineering and design. the pans were pressed and then drawled out causing the metal in the lower pan to become to thin which results in early rust out. Ford should have taken care of this a long time ago. They knew that most vehicles would over mileage before the problem would arise. Bad PR
