The check engine light continues to stay on no matter what Ford tries to do. We can not get the truck smogged for registration due to this problem.

I have a 2006 Ford F250 Super Duty 4X4 pick up w/ $61 miles, that has a death wobble when driving over 45 mph. I have replaced both hubs and seals, shocks, steering damper, stabilizer bar links and inner & outer tie rods. Have had the tires balanced twice and a front end alignment. Does this fall under a recall" I have seen service bulletins on this. They seem to have replaced the same parts that I did. Is there a fix, as this is very dangerous" this death wobble happens every day, smooth or rough roads.

While driving vehicle dash controls, windows, radio all shut off and turn back on occasionally. If the vehicle starts and the controls are not currently working the truck idles high and chugs. When gages are not working the battery does not change either. The gages shut off while moving, not moving and at time S are off right when the truck starts. Does it while driving straight, turning, back roads highway and also driveway. While looking on google there have been at least 30 other complaints of the same exact issue without a 100% fix for the problem. Ford needs to inspect and find a way to fix this problem.

On 09/12/2013, I purchased 4 Geo-trac patagonia A/T tires P265/70/17 tires for my 2006 Ford F250 Super Duty. From rick's tires and brakes in canton, nc. This tire shop purchased the tires from free service tires in swannanoa, nc. Free service tires bought the tires from teireco, Inc in gardena, ca. The dot number on the four tires is dot jenj fpl 1911. The truck had 53,023 miles on it when these tires were purchased. In January 2017, the right front tire developed a terrible bounce at speeds less than 30 mph. I returned the truck to rick's tires and he contacted free service tires. The free service manager said the belts had separated and replaced the tire. On 03/21/2017 while towing a boat on I-40 in North Carolina, the right rear tir exploded at 55 mph. I was unable to immediately exit the roadway and drove a short distance to safely park on the shoulder. The tire had a large hole and part of the tread had separated from the inner tire. This separation caused extensive damage to my right pickup bed outer wall and bracing supports. I immediately called rick's tires and made him aware of the issue. He immediately called free service tires. I took the truck to rick's tires on 04/02/2017. I filed a claim with tireco on 04/13/2017.the remaining tires have traveled about 13,000 miles. I have discussed this issue ms scrivens and ms torres with tireco. I have had to initiate every discussion with them. They seem to be unconcerned that two of the four original tires they manufactured or imported have failed. Ms. Torres told me today that a road hazard caused the second failure. I had a retired operator from a rubber vulcanizing operation look at the tire. He stated that the tire had not been "cooked" long enough or the temp was not hot enough to adequately bind the rubber components. Tireco should immediately repair my truck and compensate for tires.

I was driving on a two lane blacktop road at 35 mph, when the vehicle unexpectly died losing all power, including steering and brakes. This occurred after I had just exited a U.S. highway where the speed limit was 65 mph. Due to the fact that I am a former police defensive driving instructor I was able to steer the vehicle to a side street. I bought this vehicle to tow a 14,000 lb. Fifth wheel trailer and I am glad it was not attached.. it turned out that the problem was the stc fitting. Ford told me that this part has a common failure problem and it has been replaced with the revised stc fitting. My concerm is that failure of this part with an inexperienced driver on an interstate could be fatal. The stc fitting is apparently attached to the high pressure oil pump, and when it fails you lose all power and the vehicle will not restart.

The contact owns a 2006 Ford F-250. While driving 65 mph, the vehicle shook violently and felt as if it would flip over. It took a while for the contact to regain control of the vehicle. The dealer test drove the vehicle, but was unable to duplicate the failure. A report was filed with the manufacturer and they stated that the dealer would call the contact within four days. The failure mileage was 25,000 and current mileage was 30,000. Updated 12/30/08 the horn would randomly blow on its own. Updated 01/05/09.
