Hold down clamps for the fuel injectors are breaking or coming loose on diesel engine. Injectors are not visible for a person to look at as they are buried by covers. Due to the injector coming loose it would allow combustion gasses to escape the cylinder causing other injectors to become damaged and possibly causing a fire. This issue has happened 2 times on my truck and both times the Ford Technicians stated that it is not something that should happen. Vehicle was inspected/fixed by Ford dealership Techs back in March of 2021 and again in May of 2021(still there at this time). A check engine light came on and i immediately drove to the dealership both times. I will provide a picture of a Ford tech site where they talk about this issue happening and their internal memo. Ford at this time refuses to fix the issue and is making me pay for their defective parts.

2011 Ford F250 with 6.7 liter diesel engine blew a fuel injector due to a broken hold down clamp. While being repaired, mechanic noticed two other clamps were cracked and they were replaced by upgraded clamps from Ford. Engine has 62K miles on it. Writer has seen numerous posts online from other owners with the same issue.

Truck started getting bad fuel mileage and would not get up to speed very fast took truck to autozone and had codes read was reading P20bd and P20be so looked up VIN and it stated it had a recall on the def reductant heater which where the codes pulled up called and scheduled an appointment for it to get fixed at yaklin Ford in rich wood Texas took it in for the recall and now they are trying to say it's not covered on recall and now when I look up my VIN the recall is gone what can I do truck only has 95000 miles

The contact owns a 2011 Ford F-250. While driving 45 mph, the vehicle lost power without warning. The contact was able to coast the vehicle to the side of the road and power of the engine. The vehicle failed to restart and was towed to a repair shop where it was diagnosed that the fuel pressure pump blew out under the hood. The mechanic stated that the entire fuel system needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and did not assist. The dealer was not contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 119,000.

The contact owns a 2011 Ford F-250. The contact experienced an unknown failure related to the fuel injection. The vehicle was towed to willowbrook Ford (7301 kingery hwy, willowbrook, il 60527) where it was diagnosed that the fuel injection hold down bracket fractured. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 82,000. The VIN was not provided. The consumer stated one bracket under extended warranty was fixed but not the rest. Takata recall. Truck just shut down and died while driving. We tried to restart to move better location and only worked for few more feet.no warnings and whole fuel system has metal shavings in it and costing 11,000 to repair and Ford not recalling or covering any of the repair when they know this is an issue causing wrecks and even a distaster kit online for the problem with Ford trucks from 2011-2015. We have spoke with mutliple repair shops and our insurance and it is mechanical failure and happens alot with Ford and not a recall nor is Ford helping out customers that the mechanical failure is happening too. We only have 100,000 miles diseal truck and do all our maintence needed and Ford dealership stated as mechanical failure.

Driving on freeway at 65 mph motor shut down. After taking it to the shop I was informed that the fuel pump had failed. I was told by the service writher that a number of the fuel pumps has failed on trucks like mine. Cost to fix $8,400!!!

My vehicle has experienced no power while accelerating onto a state highway. Acceleration was extremely slow and created a dangerous situation in which the vehicle had to be pulled over on the shoulder immediately to move out of the way of traffic, which was very far away when I initial pulled out on the highway. This occurred multiple times and at random. The vehicle could only reach 40 mph on flat highway and while driving on mountain roads, this would decrease to a maximum speed of 20 mph. This would create a significantly dangerous situation if on was crossing an intersection with oncoming traffic. And

My 2011 F-250 diesel wouldn't start 2 weeks ago and after having it towed found it to be the H.P.F.P had torn itself apart and put metal shavings in the entire fuel system. It was stationary at the time but I believe it was out of sheer luck that I wasn't on the interstate. This is a recurring problem that this year and model have, but Ford will not acknowledge it as a problem other than to put a kit together for the consumer when this happens to simplify the ordering process. This is a danger to my family and anyone else on the road if my vehicle suddenly stalls and loses all power. This is a frequent enough occurrence to warrant an investigation in my opinion for the thousands of affected Ford diesel owners.

I had a fuel pump to malfunction causing the entire fuel system to be replace on my 2011 Ford F 250 at a cost of almost $8000. This is unbelievable I contact my insurance provider and the adjuster said this if a common problem on this make and model. There has to be something wrong for type of repair to be a common thing. Who can afford to pay for a repair like with the cost this truck and insurance. Please call me at [xxx] [xxx]. my vehicle is currently at landers Ford 2082 w polplar ave., collierville, tn 38017. I feel if Ford is aware of this why is there a not a recall for this to be corrected. We can't afford to pay for this kind of repair cost. After engine is warmed up, when you slow down, there is a few seconds, 3 to 5, that the truck will not speed up. This problem continues as long as you are in slow down and speed up traffic. If you are turning left the speed up time can be 3 to 8 seconds. I have carried truck back to the dealer several times with this problem. I have been told at these times that they can not duplicate what I have told them. This problem has almost caused a accident several, several times. I have explained to the service manager several times about this problem and there is steel no fix for this problem. I believe that if this problem is not fixed that I will be in a accident.
