Purchased the F350, and the first time it was put into 4x4, there was a 'grinding' sound. Sound is more pronounced when you let off the gas. Brought it into service department who took it in. Transfer case was changed per Ford Technical and that didn't work. Ford told dealer to pull apart front 'meatball' assemble and bad gears were found and changed. Truck was put back together and the grinding sound is still there. Ford Tech asked dealer to drive the few 2019 F350's they had on the lot to see if that sound was also there, and it was. Ford then said having a grinding sound when engaging 4x4 both manually and automatically is normal. I disagree and the Ford customer service rep. said they will continue to see if they can have Ford technical advisers look for a solution.

Now the slight rant. I bought a 2006 F250 extended cab work truck with a 6.0L motor, and at 13K miles the first injector went. The repairing dealer said I bought a p.o.s. due to the 6.0 injectors being 'over-engineered' and he was right. Eventually all injectors were replaced. The truck also almost killed me on multiple occasions due to the 'death wobble'. I pull a work trailer on, and the whole assembly was shaking like mad and uncontrollable for a brief time, it's troubling yet Ford at the time said it was a PSI issues with the tires. I called BS on that then, but they refused to do anything. 295K miles on it now and it hasn't happened again for a few years, so it wasn't a psi thing. I said I'd never buy another Ford, but I needed a truck with a plow and the deal looked good and the EOY tax credit was appealing.

Wish I never bought this truck.
