On September 21, 2022 I was driving to Vail, CO. I hit a bump in the road as I was heading up the Vail pass. Immediately after, my truck started shaking violently out of control with no control of my steering. I skid across the highway and was lucky not to hit anything. When looking this up it appears it was the Ford Death Wobble.
Ford is aware of an oil separator issue causing failure and sludge build up and has not issued any recalls or information for the consumer. Also, the back up monitoring fails in cold weather due to condensation build up in the lights.
The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-350. While driving, the engine failed. The vehicle was taken to haley Ford richmond (10724 jefferson davis hwy, richmond, va 23237) where it was diagnosed that the motor was blown. The vehicle was repaired and the manufacturer was contacted. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The approximate failure mileage was 84,000.
