The ignition began acting up at times and didn't seem to want to start a few times for about 2 days, and then the next day it refused to start at all and I had to have it towed to the local Ford dealership to have fixed. The part cost $40.27 and the labor was $358 @ $135 an hour. I'm the third owner of the car. The car was always well taken care of and oil and filters changed at 3 to 5k miles. Previous owners had no issues with the car except for the Bluetooth accessory acting up.
I was thinking of trading it in for some other, possibly bigger and more reliable car, but actually the 2016 Ford Fiesta is rated as one of the best cars according to this website, so maybe I won't. There's a good chance this was an isolated incident and the car will be quite reliable overall. It runs good and is comfortable for a small car and gets 30 MPG around town and at least 40 MPGs on the highway.
Update from Dec 29, 2019: The ignition began acting up at times and didn't seem to want to start a few times for about 2 days, and then the next day it refused to start at all and I had to have it towed to the local Ford dealership to have fixed. The part cost $40.27 and the labor was $358 @ $135 an hour. They replaced the starter switch near the ignition key lock cylinder. I'm the third owner of the car and bought it in 8/19 with 57k miles. Previous owners had no issues with the car except for the Bluetooth accessory acting up.
