CarComplaints.com Notes: The Freestar was introduced in 2004, but it was essentially just a rebranded Windstar. While there was a redesign of the interior and exterior, the Freestar still inherited some of the design flaws of its predecessor.

CD player quit working altogether and it refused to give us a CD back. We finally took it apart ourselves and retrieved the CD, but it still doesn't work for some reason. The CD/radio mechanism frequently tries to engage, you can hearing it clicking and trying to "move" CDs around even though there aren't any in there and then the digital reading states, "Check CD Player."
