CarComplaints.com Notes: The Freestar was introduced in 2004, but it was essentially just a rebranded Windstar. While there was a redesign of the interior and exterior, the Freestar still inherited some of the design flaws of its predecessor.

pcm module get wet from leak in windshield car won't run
thank goodness I found this problem fix on google. THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM! it causes your car not to run and has cost lots of people a ton of money!! FORD knows about this and has never recalled it! The cowling has a piece of foam that didn't seat right and water leaks right down onto the PCM module! it gets corroded and wet and causes all kinds of problems with the car!
