Lost my power steering, while I was parked at mcdonalds, hill assist light and advance trac lights are on. I can not drive it with no power steering.the car was in part, when I put it in reverse, both lights came on and no power steering put it back in part, turn the engine off, I tried thid three or four times, finally I had power steering agian, drove 16 miles to home and it happened again. So down it just sits there, I'm not going to drive it again until it's fixed. I can't afford to fix it if it's going to cost thousands of dollars, there should be a recall, too many people having the same thing go wrong.

My power assist motor bolts broke when doing a 3 point turn causing the car loose its power steering. Researched Ford recalls for 2013-2015 Fusion and found there is a recall for this exact issue. Recall 15S14 which states the corrosion problem. My car is registered in ct and should be included but Ford say it does not apply to my VIN. The mechanics at Ford agree that this should be covered but they are unable to do anything without Ford permission. The cost is $2700. I am looking to get this covered under the recall but I am stuck. I hope someone will contact me.

My car, a 2014 Ford Fusion SE, was parked in my driveway on 1/2/2021, everything was fine on 1/3/2021 I started the car and my power assist did not work and an error of "steering assist fault service required", "service advancetrac", "hill assist off" and my traction light came on stating it is off. This car has 74036 miles and has never had a problem. I called the Ford dealership and was told there are no recalls for this. The car was stationary with no reason for these problems.

"steering loss", "service advancetrac" and "hill start assist not avail" indicator on dash came on at around 94,000 miles while driving on the highway with no prior mechanical issues or indicators of mechanical failure. Luckily I was able to steer (very difficult/steering wheel stiff) off the roadway. Visual inspection of vehicle shows no damage to mechanical components. I believe electric power steering component or sensor is causing system to lock up and could have very well ended very badly for me and my family.

I was driving on a city street and lost power steering rendering me unable to control my vehicle while I was turning. I was driving at 40 mph. Warning light flashed after my steering wheel became hard to turn. It was raining out which made the situation even more dangerous and I had my family in the vehicle. I believe the power steering module since it's electric was at cause. Luckily I was able to brake and pull into a less busier street.

This could easily have caused a serious crash and was extremely dangerous. I already had a recall on the steering wheel bolts completed a few months ago.

A prior complaint has been made relative to this vehicles steering on or about 30 days prior to a serious accident which occurred to the steering. Enroute to my employment. After driving the vehicle for approx 5 min into my drive I turned around in a local driveway to proceed back to my residence on a straight paved highway with wet, dark, down-grade conditions the vehicles steering indicator lights suddenly came on and the vehicles steering turned slightly to the left with hardly no braking ability causing my veh to leave the roadway traveling on slick wet grass down-hill 150' ft. Striking several trees causing serious permanent injuries fracturing my right femur and hip, along with significant head injuries to my forehead. (1) driver occupant. The driver and side airbags deployed, no passenger deployment. The veh had just been aligned on 2 occasions with 4 new tires. This veh needs investigated fully for mfg, defects and recall. After looking online I find significant reporting of the same occurrences. I do have photos of the vehicle.

Similar to other recalls, the steering rack on my vehicle is damaged and causes grinding when turning the wheel while stationary or in motion at speeds under 35mph, causing stiffness in the wheel and slight locking. This seems congruent with damage from recalls 15S14 and 15R01 if not handled properly.
