The contact owns a 2017 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that after starting the vehicle, the service restraints system warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to metro Ford sales Inc (3601 state St, schenectady, NY 12304, (518) 868-6157) where it was diagnosed and determined that the service restraints module failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.

The contact owns a 2017 Ford Fusion. The contact stated the vehicle failed to start and was jump started on several occasions. There was no warning light illuminated. The battery was replaced three times by the contact. The vehicle was taken to an unknown dealer where it was diagnosed that the softwire connection, F33 and acm needed to be updated. The vehicle was repaired. The contact mentioned communication number: Ssm 48757110000 (electrical system) as a possible solution to the failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 481.

When I turn the car on, 3 warnings appear on the dash: "front camera malfunction", "pre-collision assist no available", "lane keeping malfunction check". these features seem to work when I'm driving, but when I took the car into Ford, they told me the image processing module needs to be replaced.

Back in 2018, 1.3 million Ford Focus vehicles were recalled due to a fuel purge valve. Who's to say the same issue is starting to occur again, but to the Ford Fusion? my 2017 Ford Fusion that I purchased 6 months ago has this issue. It is a major safety concern! on my way to work in the middle of the highway, during morning traffic, my car decides to turn off causing a accident, but luckily nobody got hurt! while I was sitting there waiting for the police to arrive, I tried turning it back on, and luckily it did, but surprise surprise now with the service engine light on. When I got off of work my car turned back on (still with the service engine light on) and the same issue happened again 4 times on my way back home. I drove all the way back on the right hand passing lane because this is a safety hazard, and could easily cause a accident again! what it did exactly is it starts like a humming/vibrating noise that comes from the dashboard, I couldn't push on my gas, turn my steering wheel, and automatically goes down to 0 mph, and on the dashboard it asked me to put the car in P, and then turns off. Of course the warranty that I purchased didn't want to cover it, and now I have to pay $425 to have this fixed! Ford Motor Company needs to issue a recall before someone seriously gets injured!

June 1st 2020 while driving 55mph on a hot day windows down stereo blasting suddenly the speakers screech a defening sound and then nothing.screen displays audio off and won't turn on. No music and the part that's dangerous no gps prompts (I get lost easily) the next day its cooler and it works again. October 13th 2020 the radio displays audio off and and is still off as I write this complaint on a cool October day. This car is a safety hazard and now basically worthless with out a functional audio system. I cant afford to take it to the dealer to even try to figure out the problem last time I went for a simple software update to address another problem with the radio it cost $80.

Shift dial get stuck in park, will not shift out of park even with the override, have had it looked at twice, both times there was "no problems, " and the shop always it works when the tow truck drops it off. It happens on and off, never gives an error message or throws a code. Could be driving one minute, get home, shut the car off, a couple hours later get back in, and it doesn't shift anymore. It's extremely inconvenient and considering the Ford dealership says "this happens a lot" I don't understand why they don't recall the faulty cable or relay or transmission or shift dial if it happens all the time, because after taking it to 3 different shops, they all have no answer to the issue, just to "deal with it". and the fact that the override doesn't work is a big problem. But Ford does their thing and I guess won't recall something they know is a problem on many of their 2017 Ford Fusion SE's even though it's a safety issue but I guess that's Ford, more about pumping crap cars out than they are worried about making them safe when the same problem occurs on multiple 2017 Ford Fusion.

Vehicle codes started to appear on the dashboard ( temp light, engine light, battery light) warning signs also appeared ( overheating in engine ) engine coolant started to decrease no leak was detected. It was taken to a mechanic to get evaluated and they came to the conclusion that it was leaking internally into the car which caused other issues. This car was purchased February 2020 so 8 months later the car has completely crashed. White smoke is also expelling from the vehicle exhaust. The spark plugs are burning up they were replaced approximately 8 days ago and they are completely burned white.

I was in a the middle of a drive thru and I put my car in park and engine light came on, my gear shifter was flashing in all the gears and on the dash it was saying shift system fault service required. I couldn't put it in any gear. It wouldn't start until some guy came over and said the same thing happened to his Ford Fusion. He knew how to get it back in park and showed me what happened. He has said that there was a recall for that part.

I was driving about 10 mins away from my house, in the city as I approached a red light my car shut off. It stopped while I was in motion, I couldn't brake, theres was nothing could do but just let the car stop on its own. The battery light started to flash, the wrench light came on. I turned the car off, then back on, and it didnt start. So I tried again, and the car started, I was ale to make it home safe. But this is a hazard, I had children in the car, I will like this car to be recalled. I saw in 2017 in July about five thousands 2017 Ford were recalled for this reason. Im scared and dont know what to do!

My vehicle start stalling the check engine light came on and then the car slowed down and wouldn't go over 25miles on the interstate and I almost got hit by other vehicles trying to pass me. I was close to the Ford dealership so I decided to go there. Not long after the temperature gauge starts to go up. Once L arrived at the Ford dealer where I always go for the maintenance of my vehicle and after 3hrs I was asked if they could keep my car overnight to do a coolant check. I said yes and the next day I was told that the code 301 was a spark plug that needed to be changed but that wasn't the problem. I have a coolant leak and its leaking in my engine and that is the problem. Overall I need a need engine and the car is only 2 1/2 years old. Ford would not help with the problem.

I purchased the car on October 21st of 2019. I have had nothing but issues with this car basically sense purchasing it. I bought the car with 54,000 miles. I was up to about 74,000 with the need to replace a motor. I did so, before I replaced the motor the battery light was on. I changed the alternator believing that would be the issue, I also replaced the belt with it thinking I might as well. Still battery light was on. So I even went and changed the battery and still a battery light. I have dumped nothing but money into this car sense purchasing it. I have been reading nothing but issues with these 2017 Ford Fusion ans believe Ford needs to be held accountable for this because so many others are experiencing these issues and now I believe the ECM is going to be replaced. I bought this car thinking a new car would be a good investment for my family and to go back and fourth to work which has been not the case. I have had old war horse trucks with over 200K miles run and drive but knew they would need to upgraded to a newer family car. I really do not think Ford is taking account for the real issues they are having with their new vehicles they are selling to the public who are trying to make a living and with constant electrical problems that just isn't right. Basic maintenance is understandable but to have all of these issues just seems unacceptable.

Attempted to utilize the key hole in the center console, did not assist at all. Tow truck moved car to the house for us. The car was stationary during the attempting to move into drive.

My car was purchased about 1 1/2 years ago as a certified preowned from sheehy Ford in ashland, va. Since then the battery has begun draining for no reason when the car is sitting still. I went to leave work a few months ago and there was nothing left on in the vehicle. When I got in to go home I was unable to start my vehicle. This happened again to me last week after making a trip to ga to visit family. I was unable to drive back to va from ga without purchasing another battery. My uncle who works on vehicles, hooked my Fusion up to a diagnostic machine after taking out various fuses and the car still had a very high drain on my battery. I have researched this on the internet and it seems to be a standing issue with several Ford Fusion owners. Ford need to issue a recall and fix this issue. Having drivers stranded on the road is never good. If I could I would return this vehicle back to the dealership and purchase another vehicle not from Ford.

Difficult to start after refueling (unaffected by amount of fuel inside tank); intermittently grunting/vibration sounds coming from fuel tank at random intervals. Happens while parked and while in motion. Car has also had electrical-type humming sound coming from gear knob and dash since I bought it with 36K miles on it.
