I randomly checked to see if any recalls were out regarding this vehicle. Upon checking I entered my vin # but was advised it was not part of the airbag recall. However my airbag light constantly comes on.
Was hit on passenger side and slammed in to barrier wall on the driver side and only the side airbag on the passenger side deployed. Had recall on airbag fixed but did not work

Takara recall my daughter was driving on a city street and all of a sudden front and side driver side airbags deployed spontaneously and exploded causing her burns and lacerations. Also caused bruising and pain on her shoulder, pain in neck lowerback and ribcage area. This caused her to rear end another vehicle. The battery completely died after and needed to be jump started by tow company. They also couldn't get the trunk to open. I have a claim with Ford and they did ask me at my cost to deliver car to dealership so they could retrieve the rcm but my insurance will not allow the vehicle to be removed. I did contact my product claim rep and now I am being completely ignored. This is a very dangerous defect that needs to be investigated. Thank you.

Takata recall I have received numerous recall notices for this vehicle, but I haven't owned or leased this vehicle for 5 years. I called Ford Motor Company to request that they redirect the recall notice to the current owner but they said they were unable to do so. Part of the excuse I was given was that Ford doesn't send out the notices, they subcontract this to another entity. I don't know who the current owner is. I was the original lessee of the vehicle when I was an employee of Ford Motor Company and this was part of the management lease vehicle program. All registration of the vehicle was handled by them, for this and all the other vehicles that I leased from them as part of this program. This vehicle was returned to Ford at the end of the lease and they then dispositioned it, either through resale or other result. My complaint is that Ford knowingly is not informing the correct owner/lessee of this vehicle of the current takata recalls. I regret that I have to file a complaint against Ford Motor Company, as a former employee who respects the company and its products, but my intent is to ensure that the current owner of the vehicle is notified as soon as possible given the severity of the issue. Note: The card that I received with notice of this recall says "don't press your luck!"
