Whenever I brake forcefully, like in a quick stop, the brakes grind horribly as if the whole car is groaning.

I've had this checked various times and the last time they said that the discs were warped due to having gotten wet so I paid for re-facing them. I still get the sae noise occasionally. So I am living with it.

Three times i had to go in to get this fixed. Eventually I filed a claim and they fixed it. When they fixed it the brake booster broke....more repair.

I LOVE this car. I knew I wanted it from the first time I saw it at a 2009 auto show. We ordered it and waited and waited for it to be delivered. Came in on Dec. 22nd - Merry Christmas!! I was thrilled. Within 2 weeks the grinding started. How embarrassing!!! Family and friends wanted to check it out and go for a ride. I was mortified when the brakes started grinding quite loudly and you could feel it under your feet. The hell of it is that it doesn't happen all the time, so if it doesn't perform on command people think you are crazy! Took it back to the dealer who looked at it and said there was no problem. A month or so later we took it back again. They took it into the shop, came out and took us for a drive - sure enough no grinding. Things went pretty well for a while, but its baaaaack. We've been putting up with it, but I am sick of it and gathering as much information as I can cause there's a showdown at the dealership coming.

There is a grinding noise from the front brakes on a hard stop. Ford has a TSB out on this problem and replaced the defective parts without hassle. Just frustrating since TSB's are NOT published on Ford's customer's website, only recalls are posted. Should you decide to put up with this annoance, and you really don't know whether it is a safety related issue or not, how does one know they should pursue fixing. What happens if you continue using the brakes??? Could they fail, cause other damage? Ford dealer gladly fixed the problem when informed. No further problems so far! I LOVE this car!!!!
