2010 Taurus SE, transmission bangs hard when put into reverse. Sometimes, from the banging, the shifter cable would dislodge itself from the mount on the transmission, causing the transmission to be stuck in park or even roll into neutral or another gear. This can be very dangerous as the car can roll backwards and kill someone. Thankfully I am mechanically inclined so when this does happen, I just re-connect the shifter cable to the mount on the transmission, which is located by the air intake. A new rear engine "torque mount"/transmission mount is required to fix this issue.
