I had the ball joints replaced as well but the problem wasn't fixed, I took it to a local foreign car shop and then the noise stopped completely. Pretty cheap and fixed the annoying problem!

I have recently experienced clunking noises coming from underneath my 1998 Honda CR-V. Not sure if it is the tires..or the need of the bump protector things.

I have Honda CRV 98 I can hear the clucking noise from the from suspension or from the bottom. Honda dealer said that they will charge 2000 dollars to fix that as there is some problem in ball joints and struts.
