Purchased the CRV new in 2002 - Every type and maintenance schedule was followed to a tee - Mostly highway miles - Two months prior to the death of the vehicle I had a cat converter replaced / brakes replaced / oil filters in and out / fluids flushed - goal was to have the car 250K then switch because it was a HONDA. It was towed to the honda dealership where they told me the timing chain broke and it would be 1500 to 2K depending on any other engine damage - I love the honda brand to bad the service department can't fix them. You guessed it - I purchased another one but will not have it serviced it anywhere near a Honda Dealers Service Department - Not much choice under the situation - Anyone out there let me know where in Illinois you can get a Honda Serviced - Thanks
