After owning my 2013 CRV for 8 years, it has gone through two batteries. One when I bought the car as a certified pre-own in Michigan in late 2016, and another just last year in February before the pandemic began in Texas. Both times, the battery does not have enough cold cranking amps during the multipoint inspection that Honda does and fails the test. Luckily, I had the original receipt from Fox Honda to show to First Texas Honda when I got the battery in 2018 paid out of pocket that helped me replace it within the 3 year warranty.
I feel that these batteries do not hold up long, even with preventive maintenance. Luckily, I carry a supercapacitor jump starter in the car that helped me jump start it from my driveway when I go to work.
