sunroof leaks when going through a car wash

I would rather not have had the sunroof, but it was standard equipment on this particular package. As an engineer, I see a sunroof as a future leak source. Water always wins. Spent a lot of money to have a high quality Honda and I'm doubting my choice. I see rust, mold, and annoying dealer visits in my future. Additionally, all car makers have complaint systems designed to give you the "run-around", so I'm dreading that as well. An 8 month old Honda shouldn't be leaking, let alone this badly, especially in light of the fact that it's parked either under a carport roof or in a parking garage for most of its life.

When I go through the car wash by my house (the same car wash I have taken 3 other cars with sun roofs through) the water leaks into the car and literally sprinkles on me. I have gone in 3 times on this issue. The first time they told me I was wrong it did not do it in their car wash. The second time I brought the mechanic with me to the car wash (that I had to pay for again) and he saw it happening so they adjusted the sun roof. Told me they would order a new one and have it in case this did not fix it. I went to the car wash again and it was even worse so I called again (a third time) no they did not order the sun roof they would order it now. So I went back in again. They said they replaced it and should be fine. I reminded them that this was the third time and there are lemon laws. I had the car washed again and still it sprinkles on me. Their answer is don't take it to that car wash. So now I have to try other car washed to see if it still happens or leave the car dirty. And even if it does still happen it appears that it is no big deal. The car is 2 months old - it is a big deal. I have paid over $50 in testing this problem for them and that also is no big deal. My problem.

The sunroof in my 2015 Honda CRV touring leaks when going through a car wash. Honda says, Don't go through a car wash.

Really... That's the best they can do?

sunroof leaks when going through a car wash

We have had the vehicle back to Fuoco Motors in Grand Junction where we purchased the car. We were told the sunroof was not designed to go through a power wash. We received the car back with greasy fingerprints on the headliner, no attempt by mechanics to clean. After complaining we were asked to bring the car back in. Still no fix for the sunroof and for the second time the headliner had greasy finger prints. The headliner now has a small water stain from the dealer taking It through the car wash. Both times I have cleaned the headliner. Now Fuoco is denying the sunroof leaks ( we have in writing on the original invoice that it leaks) and they deny they left greasy finger prints.

The leaking sunroof, dirty prints and dishonesty of the dealership is not only insulting but unacceptable.
