The contact owns a 2019 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that the front driver-??s and the front passenger's side mirror housing units were severely melted. The contact stated that housing units had been replaced twice within the past two years. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was filed. The manufacturer advised the contact to report the failure to the NHTSA Hotline. The contact was informed that the sunlight had caused the housing units to melt. The failure mileage was approximately 13,000.
