problem #1

CR-V Limited Edition 1.5L Turbo

Vehicle lost propulsion. All warning lights were continuously cycling again.

From dealership: Code P0303 cylinder #3 misfire returned. Swapped #1 and #3 coil packs, cleared code & test drove 5 miles - light & code have not returned yet, will need to drive more. Drove addtl 5 miles- no dash lights. Connected the HDS laptop & set it up on misfire screen before starting vehicle, started vehicle & watched #3 cylinder have misfire counts. Removed #3 coil & spark plug, installed pressure tester & inserted boroscope into #3 cylinder & watched coolant run down cylinder wall which indicates a bad head gasket or cracked cylinder head. Removed cylinder head & sent out to be checked for warpage & pressure tested for cracked cylinder head as next step. Found cylinder head to be out of specification for straightness. Spec is 0.003 & head flatness measured 0.0032. Replaced cylinder head & all related gaskets, o-rings, bolts etc performed all sensor recalibration, cleared codes, test drove 5 miles. All okay at this time.

Owner update - Vehicle problems continue. December 2025 same issue just occurred again. Will submit additional incident upon resolution.
