The contact owns a 2006 Honda Civic. While driving 70 mph with the cruise control activated, the cruise control deactivated automatically twice. The contact reactivated the cruise control each time. Also, the air bag warning indicator illuminated and, soon after, the air bags deployed. There were no injuries. The contact lost control of the vehicle, but then regained control and pulled off the highway. The contact inspected the vehicle and found no visible damage other than a cracked windshield. The contact was able to drive the vehicle home. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified of the failures. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 278,000.
