Not only do I have to fork out 500.00 or more for half decent tires for a vehicle that I only owed for 15 months. I am told that I cannot cancel my extended warranty unless I write off or sell my vehicle.

I thought Honda was different !

1 1/2 year old 2012 Honda Civic started making a roaring noise about 2 weeks ago and a low roaring noise when brakes were applied. I thought for the sure the noise was from a mechanical problem in the left front wheel area. Was very surprised when the dealership told me that 3 of the 4 tires were cupped and pitted and that was the cause of the noise. They mentioned that the tred on the tires were fine as I had had them rotated at 15,000 miles. But that the Contenetial tires I that came with the new vehicle had failed prematurly and I should probably check with Honda Corp. West County Honda dealership, service manager told me that I'll probably have to replace the tires but NOT to replace them with Contential tires again. It was obvious that the dealership felt the OEM tires that Honda provided were for crap and the tire issue was definately premature considering I did have them rotated according to the manual. Now I get to listen to this roaring noise in an already pretty loud cabin or shell out $600 for new tires. Thanks for the junk tires HONDA!
