This is but one of many issues I have had with this car. I believe it is a computer "glitch" as it seems many of the other issues are as well. I fueled up yesterday and drove aprox. 40 miles before the tighten fuel cap indicator came up on the screen. I would think if the dang thing was actually loose then tightening it would fix the issue. I checked the inside of the cap and there are no areas showing damage to any seals. I tightened it, light is still on. I fully opened it and then closed it over and over and the light is still on. I turned the car off and back on each time in hopes it would go away but alas it is still on. SO VERY saddened I chose this car as this is one of many issues with it.

So I just traded my 08' Civic for the 13' Civic and after a couple of months or so, the reminder on the I-MID came up saying that the gas cap was loose. I stopped to check on it, opened it, closed it even tighter than before and the message on the I-MID did not go away. A couple of days went by and the message was still there. It went away eventually. The other day I had my trunk open because I was carrying a large object (a basketball net) and the message showed up. I got pissed and just said to myself screw it. Fortunately, the message disappeared. The I-MID is nice, but those warning messages that come up randomly with a sound just drives me nuts. Could it be a faulty wiring or just a garbage-like system?
