The Honda Sensing brake system seems to be more annoying than helpful. Even adjusting the different sensor lengths isn't helping. Often, the car starts to brake when it is not needed. A few days ago, a car in front of me decided to make a U-turn at a left turn arrow that said no U-turns. My car decided to slam on the brakes because they were a little in the way.
It gets worse: I could not override the brakes when I stepped on the gas petal to move forward after the car was completely out of the way. I was stuck in place for longer than necessary. The car behind me almost hit me! I don't mind if the sensing system notifies me with beeps, bells, and whistles. Just don't brake for me!
This has happened multiple times (maybe 10 or 12), when getting off the highway, ONLY when there are SHORT white lines on the road as you enter the exit ramp.
