I reported this problem at every dealer visit. They say there is no code recorded on the car's computer, and claim test drives are OK. The hesitation happens in first and second gear just after engaging the clutch. Most times it is hardly noticeable, but sometimes it is enough to make me nervous, but it never lasts more than a second. It is slightly more noticeable in wet weather, and when the engine is cold, but it happens to a lesser degree anytime.

As this has happened since we bought the car new 15 month ago, I suspect it may be the result of the engine being set too lean a fuel mixture. The car does have remarkable fuel efficiency.

I am neither an aggressive nor a wimpy driver, and neither is my wife.

My biggest concern is in case the problem worsens with age, and becomes serious after the warranty expires.

Next I need to know if other owners of 2016 Honda Fit's have similar concerns.
