The contact owns a 2000 Honda Odyssey with hankook optimo H727 P215/65/R16 tires. The contact stated while driving 60 mph, the contact could feel a vibration in the tires. The vehicle was taken to the tire shop for diagnostic testing where it was confirmed the tread separated from the rear tires and the front passenger tire. The tires were not replaced and the manufacturer was notified of the defect. The VIN was not available. The approximate vehicle failure mileage was 180,000 and the tire failure mileage was 50,000.

I purchased brand new Michelin defender tires three weeks ago from a Michelin certified auto repair shop. Today we had a catastrophic blow out...consistent with a manufacturer defect. We were driving less than one mile from our home, on a clear day, with no pot holes, or obstacles in the road. We did not hit or run over anything. We were driving less than 30 miles per hour...on a clear city street in Virginia. The car immediately began to violently shake....it was obvious the tire had a catastrophic failure. We went across the street to merchants tire and auto. The tire had four blow out holes on every single side of this tire. This tire is only 3 weeks old. It has less than 200 miles on it. Michelin refused to warranty this tire. They covered only 50 % of the tire. If I had been driving with my 4 children in the car on the highway...we would have been injured. The tire was confiscated (per Michelin) by merchants tire and auto.

About half a year ago, one of two futura 2000 radial lte on our Honda Odyssey 2000 started vibrating at around 35 mph. I took the car to a tire shop to have the tire inspected. The tire was rebalanced and all four wheels aligned. The vibration continued until I moved the tire from the front to the rear a couple days later. Yesterday, almost at the end of a 1000 mile trip, vibrations re-emerged and got increasingly worse. Checking the side mirror I could see the tire material wobbling. We pulled over to put on the spare tire. At that time I noticed that about a 10 inch strip of tread had separated.

Sidewall separation of a Goodyear regatta 2 tire on a Honda Odyssey van. Were told by Honda dealer that there was tread separation. Took to dealer (akron auto and truck tire) and was told that it was damage caused by hitting an object. Tire was replaced and other tires were inspected on or about March 10, 2006. Replaced two tires. Today the remaining Goodyear regatta experienced a high speed separation of the sidewall tread with a concurrent blow out with my 16 year old daughter at the wheel. She brought the car to a stop and there was no damage other than the tire. The side wall blew on the inside of the car and there was no evidence of damage to the rim.

On May 17, 2005 we purchased 4 dunlop sp sport 4000 tires for our Honda Odyssey. We had 4 wheel front drive alignment and computer balancing. On May 30th, we noticed a bubble on the side of the wall. Since the tires were only 2 weeks old, we were very surprised and disappointed. When we contacted the original tire shop, they said that such bubbles were not the result of poorly made tires, instead, by road hazards. There are no scratches or other noticeable marks on the tire, but there is a rip on the inside, near the rim. The tire was obviously defective.

I have had two uniroyal tiger paw tires blowout while my car was being driven on the interstate. The blowouts occurred approximately 6 weeks apart with about 10,000 miles on the tires. When the first tire blewout my daughter was using the car and the tire store techician said he had never seen anything like that before, but would not say the tire was defective. When the second tire blew, the technician said it was obviously defective and when shown a picture of the first tire said it was defective too. After talking with several people at uniroyal, they replaced the rest of the tires. I have digital photographs of the tires.

Problems with steering on 2000 Honda Odyssey. There was a vibration in the steering when going 65 mph along with brake pulsation (rear brake drums were tapered and the shoes did not apply properly), rims were out of round, the vehicle pulled to the right, driver's window squeaked when going down, brakes squeaked, one tire was found bad when the vibration in the steering wheel occurred and was replaced. Eventually all the tires were replaced but the vibration still occurred.
