We have had to have a brake job about once a year since buying the Oddessey new in 2005. After the warranty expired, some shops replaced calipers and/or rotors, at great expense to me; I now think I was robbed by them, because when I finally found my present shop, that has never been needed. However, the brakes still grind a few months after new pads are installed, but this mechanic says there is no functional problem, saying that outer rim ridges on the discs MAY be causing the noise, even though there is plenty of pad left. Now, because I thought the noise was inconsequential, a sticky piston has caused a rear brake to wear down to the metal, this time creating a genuine need for replacement.
