The contact owns a 2019 Honda Odyssey. The contact stated while driving 60 MPH, there was an abnormal knocking sound coming from the engine, with the check engine warning light illuminated. The local dealer was contacted. The vehicle was taken to the dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V751000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and opened a case. The contact was referred to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 105,000.

The contact stated that upon starting the vehicle, the messages "Emissions system Failure", "Brake System Failure", "Brake Hose System Failure", "Power Steering Failure", "EPS Failure, "Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) Failure", "Hill Start Assist Failure" and "Road Departure Mitigation System Failure" were displayed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the fuel injectors had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure, and a case was filed. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to file a vehicle safety complaint. The failure mileage was approximately 120,000.

The vehicle remained at the mechanic's shop awaiting the parts for the repair, which were on backorder. The contact made a local dealer aware of the failure and was advised to file a complaint with the NHTSA hotline. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was opened. While driving, several messages regarding the braking system, emission, steering, and the engine were displayed. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who replaced the fuel injectors, and flushed and reprogrammed the transmission module however, the failure recurred. The dealer later advised that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 3,000.
