It started with the gas gauge not working & now it takes forever to fill up because the pump keeps cutting off. Hard to tell when full so you never know how much gas you have!!!!!!

The pump kept shutting off I thought something was wrong with the pump I spilled gas all over my new boots and I went in to yell at the gas attendant telling him something was wrong with the pump but here to find out it was not the pumps fault it was my stupid car that was the problem.

I have a major problem trying to pump gas into my Santa Fe. Most of the time the pump just keeps shutting off and it takes about 5 times longer than normal to actually get gas in the car as I have to play with the gas pump and usually end up having to pump it in very slowly in order for it to not shut off. I've done research for the Santa Fe on this and have not found any other complaints for this even though the dealer told me it is actually a common problem. Lately, the reason for the problem has been found in other makes of vehicles as well and I think one even did put out a recall, but no such luck with Hyundai.

Apparently there is a spider that likes the gas fumes and builds its web in the emissions area and it causes the pumps to shut off when pumping gas. Hyundai knows it's a problem and I assume there is a fix (the recall from others proves that) but they won't offer the fix. This is problem number two associated with fuel for my car.
