Battery light and seat belt light alternating on and off. Found the charge decreasing - suspected alternator wasn't working. Brought to dealer and confirmed alternator no longer working. Had to replace alternator. Not cheap. Better to get it working than to end up on the side of the road.
Was told at the dealership that other model years had a recall related to alternator. Did they really fix the problem, or should I have gotten some relief from Hyandai for this premature failure? First time I had a car this "new" where an alternator failed.
