About 20 minutes after parking my vehicle at an office location, it caught on fire. I could see the fire by the right front wheel, between the tire and the body; smoke was coming from all around the hood. We put out the fire with a fire extinguisher. We could see damaged wires. I had noticed warning lights on my display panel when I got into my vehicle to start driving. I called clay cooley Hyundai of rockwall and informed them of the messages: Beeping followed by flashing messages about ABS, ESC, & downhill brake control; plus down below were two red circles (exclamation mark in one and the letter P in the other) and the word brake below. I asked Hyundai if the car was safe to drive and they said yes. I proceeded to my 12 noon appointment in richardson, tx. About 20 mins after parking the car, the fire was noticed by an employee. The day before this, on tue, 01-29-2019, I had noticed 3 amber warning lights (ABS, ESC & dbc). I called Hyundai, informed them of this and made an appointment for thur Jan 31, 2019 at 9:30 a.M.

While driving on the interstate, I noticed a rattling/knocking noise coming from the front of the vehicle, under the hood. The noise kept getting louder, specifically as the vehicle accelerated. I noticed that the rpms would increase, with no increase in speed & even a decrease in speed. During this time the car was using cruise control at approximately 70 mph. As I noticed the knocking noise getting louder, I tapped the brakes & the vehicle's speed dramatically decreased to approximately 40 mph. I tried to speed the vehicle up & the rpms increased significantly, while the vehicle speed did not. I then put my flashers on to signal there was an issue with the vehicle & the check engine light came on, along with other service lights on the dashboard. The vehicle's steering capacity was tight & the ride became extremely bumpy as the speed decreased. After abruptly stopping on the shoulder of the interstate, the vehicle started to smell like something was burning. I could smell this in the cabin of the vehicle & the noticed there was smoke coming from the hood of the car. The engine shut off, but then began to try & turn on, with the lights starting & the start up musical sound playing. It would turn on & off 3 - 4 times, so I then removed the key from the vehicle, stepped out & backed away. The smoke, thankfully, seemed to dissipate after 20 minutes. Fire & police arrived on the scene & did not find any fire, but did smell the burning smell I noticed in the cabin of the vehicle. Unfortunately, we never could get the vehicle's engine to crank again & ended up having it towed back to our local Hyundai dealership.

On 7/17/18, my sunroof shattered without warning, while going the speed limit, 55mph. There were no cars in front of me and nothing above me. The glass projected outward, confirming that nothing fell from the sky or came up from the road as glass would have blown down or to the rear if it had been impacted by an object. I have filed a report with Hyundai's national customer service line and filing a complaint here in hopes something is done about this scary issue. Research has shown multiple reports and a lawsuit of this happening, unprovoked and could cause an accident of serious harm if not investigated. Thankfully the liner protected me from the falling glass and the car behind me slow down after the explosion if glass allowing me to exit the highway safely. Please investigate before someone is seriously injured from this unexpectedly happening to them. Car manufacturers need to be held accountable.

I recently purchased the car and noticed the back passanger door does not open from the inside. The left side opens from the inside but not the right side. I was instructed to take it to a Hyundai dealer to see if they could help. Haven't done so yet, but wanted to know if you could help first with instructions. Vehicle was not in motion and motor was turned off.

Takata recall, I was failed to be notified about the recall on my vehicle for my hood latch being defective. June 5, 2017 was when they had determined the recall but never notified me. I received a letter in the mail from a lawyer about takata having a recall on airbags, so I decided to check any recall information online on 10/27/17 and found that it was not the airbag but it was the hood latch that is being recalled. The information is stating the hood latch will become loose and cause the hood to open will driving which is very hazardous considering I have a newborn on board. The recall number is NHTSA 17V358000, manufacturer 163
