The hatch would come unlocked on its own allowing anyone to get into my car without resistance. Also, the hatch lock would release and allow the hatch to raise up. This was bad in parking lots for sure, worse when driving, and down right infuriating when it did it in my garage several times. I would raise the garage door only to find the hatch door was open just enough to catch on my garage door and get stuck, bending both my garage door panel and scratching the heck out of the rear of my vehicle in the process of getting the hatch door disconnected from my garage door.
