I-€™m following up from my previous complaint #11446148. They replaced body control module, radio frequency hub, ignition switch, key fob to ignition switch to resolve a no crank, no power issue. While at the dealership, we were told the Powertrain Control module needed a reprogram per recall W20. Now the dealership is saying the traction and ABS lights are on and the ABS module won-€™t recognize the VIN number. This is a 2015 jeep. There is an obvious manufacturers flaw in their design configuration for all of these computers modules to fail. The pcm reprogram recall seems to have created addition electronic errors that now are estimated at over 3000$ in repairs. Please investigate these issues. My car has been in the shop since October 19, 2021 which is almost 4 months. These repairs are extreme for a 6 year old vehicle.

I keep getting a "service shifter" alarm intermittently. When this happens it kills my speedometer, and disables the different drive modes available to me. Repairs have been unable to locate the fault, nor has the dealer any good reasoning why. Alarm will go away if I pull over, shut off the car, and open the door. Upon restarting the car it usually goes away for a day or more, but it always comes back. It seems to be worse when it gets colder, and the car has been running longer.

My PTU failed. I was at a stop sign when my vehicle went into neutral and refused to move. It did finally shift into 4wd and the svc 4wd light came on. I am told this is not covered by the previous PTU recall by Jeep.

Car has been jerking almost immediately after buying it brand new. They supposedly "fixed" the problem but jerking has not stopped. it hesitates when trying to accelerate most times and when it shifts into gear it thrusts/jerks so hard. Vehicle has stalled on me numerous times in traffic while coming to a stop. very afraid to even drive it. It shifts into neutral while driving or turning. it completely shuts off sometimes while in traffic or turning. cars had to slam on brakes to prevent from hitting me. this happened on several occasions. had to get the motor mounds and transmissions mounds replaced. Driving down the highway changing lanes wheel felt like it locked up. getting off the interstate was very hard and scary. steering wheel would not let me turn completely. get it home after wrestling with it. turn it off, to see what the problem was thinking I need power steering. tried turning it bac on NOTHING! get it towed, needed a water pump, but found that my motor and transmission mounds needed replaced. after complaining about the jerking movement for so long dealership said it wasn't the transmission and it wasn't going to be covered under warranty. I put too much money into this what supposed to been a new car to have so many problems from the jump. why is their not a recall on this whole vehicle"???" Have all these issues but no recalls but 1 has been made. or I should say campaign. all these complaints about this particular car but no remedies for it. not even when they "update" "fix" it. too may problems. this is the worst car I've had. used cars didn't give me this much trouble. I need to be reimbursed for all the problems i should not have had from a new car. and not covered under warranty at all. clearly it has transmissions issues and engine issues. just wasting my time going to get these "fixes" for it not to be fixed not once. the date below is not the first time. it's only the most recent that my car has stalled, jerked and shut down. horrible car

After completing NHTSA 20V-343 on June 11, 2020 we are now experiencing loss of the 4WD system. This is known with 2014-2017 Jeep Cherokees that did not have their PTUs replaced but just flashed after damage may have already occurred to the splines. The dealer did not inspect the PTU, they only reprogrammed the DTCM. I am confident in my research and vehicle inspection that replacing the PTU will restore the 4WD system and eliminate the C14A7-97 DTC. Reprogramming a computer will not remove any physical damage already done within the drive train system.

Transmission control module and speed control I couldn't exsellerate while driving in traffic and my car would lock up in neutral and wouldn't allow me to turn off the engine and it was flashing all sorts of problems at once, it would also jerk when I shifted the mechanic first told me I needed a battery and then said I needed a flash update and when none of those problems resulted in fixing my car he then said my Transmission control module was bad so now my car is inoperable so I took it to the dealership and I'm waiting for results. When I'm driving on the freeway I sometimes lose speed or my car would shift into neutral and then jerk when I try to put it back in driving and at times it wouldn't start or become difficult to slow down at an intersection or stop light, my husband is disabled so when it jerks it causes him to hit his head on the passenger side window because he has lost a lot of motor control on his right side due to having a severe stroke it's unsafe for us to drive this car not knowing if it's going to stall, jerk, speed-up or shift into another gear or not completely stop at an intersection because it becomes hard to press the break.

Incident occurred with no prior warning on a Thursday. Vehicle took several attempts to crank, then rough shift into reverse, once going forward power loss experienced and vehicle would not accelerate above around 20 mph in heavy highway traffic. Check engine light and service transmission light appeared on display at that time. Vehicle driven until home and safely parked. Dealership contacted for repair and stated they could not get vehicle in until Monday. Subsequent attempt to crank vehicle required multiple attempts before engine cranked, rough down shift from park to reverse and gear shift stuck in neutral position not allowing shift into drive, parking brake engaged automatically. Vehicle now undriveable, attempted to run OBD2 codes, code scanner unable to communicate with system, scanner checked on another vehicle and found to be functioning properly. Now unable to get vehicle to dealership without flatbed tow truck.

When driving on the highway the transmission lost power, the car went into neutral and lost all power steering. Restarted the car and it did it again while traveling on the highway. No warning or system warnings were given. When we went to the dealership they said the transmission/computer software needed updated and this usually happens after 100,000 miles. They said this happens routinely. Was very dangerous when traveling at 75 mph.

The automatic 9 sped transmission has not been hesitating after backing up and then putting it in drive to move forward. Also when driving up hill the transmission fails to shift into another gear and the RPMS increases. While stopped at a traffic light the transmission hesitates causing me to be concerned with being hit from behind. Then when accelerating the transmission does not shift and the again the RPMS stay at a high rate. I feel the with the erratic behavior of the transmission is puts and an other at a safety risk. The problem has not ben confirmed by the dealer and has not been inspected. There have been not warning lights or messages to indicate a problem.

Vehicle shows parking brake on when I enter. It has never done this before. Drove down street to stop and put car in park, parking park comes on automatically? This started today Sept. 7, 2021. On interstate going 70 mph vehicle bucked when I accelerated. On same trip, not in cruise control vehicle RPM's went up and down by itself. Proceeded to slow lane to stop. Once stopped I put car in park (no parking brake showed up) pushed on gas pedal to watch RPM's and transmission took its time coming back down. Left side of road hitting gas got to 45mph and vehicle bucked. Made load noise and bucked. The "bucking started on my 1st trip out of town, all loaded up for a work event. Going 65 mph down to exit ramp, accelerate and it bucked. Kids looked at me and said, "Mom this better not have a transmission problem like the old car." (GMC Envoy 4x4 bought new trans & then engine needed to be replaced, but went car shopping) Took vehicle back to CarMax and they said the didn't notice a thing. They said you know the wheels make a lot of noise because they are big. Also, told me not to accelerate so fast! What? I bought this vehicle on Mother's Day 2019. Went to Maryland to purchase it. Found out later that Maryland doesn't do inspections every year. Too it to my local CarMax and they gave it new brakes. I have an appointment with a Jeep certified dealer mechanics department on Sept. 24, 2021. I will follow up with another note. I hope the transmission gets replaced because the problems I mentioned are on a forum that Jeep experts monitor and comment on as I see their icon/symbol. Thank you

Jeep Trailhawk RPM's dial up and down while driving with no advanced speed. Vehicle does not move from a stop position without "kicking" or "bumping" you forward. While on interstate, going posted speed without cruise control but maintaining speed, vehicle "bucks." While driving in neighborhoods car has difficulty going from 25mph to 35mph. From stop sign to accelerate, vehicle does't move, or goes slowly with foot pressed down on gas pedal, then "bucks/bumps." Coming off from the interstate to an exit whilst vehicle is slowing down around exit curve then accelerate back up, vehicle "booms', loud "pop." The RPM's can not stay still on vehicle. When slowly moving traffic it does this too. If inching forward, it does't want to. At some points it accelerates forward when I did not want to go.
