Keep makes a loud grinding noise when I turn right or left. Sounds like it-??s coming from the back & underneath. Took it to a mechanic & he checked every thing. It-??s not the brakes. He couldn-??t figure out the problem. I-??m scared to drive it. Don-??t want to have the bottom fall out; which is what it sounds like is going to happen. There are recalls that sound like what the problem is but of course they aren-??t for my car.

Driving my vehicle back home for a local store 1.5 mi from my house and the off road warning light came on and then the steering wheel turned left while I was driving on a straight away. Managed to get to my driveway but looks like the right front wheel has detached from the truck altogether and won't move. Could not get my truck no further than the edge of my driveway. It should not be coming apart like a puzzle.

On 1/30/2023, I had a flat tire and called AAA for assistance. The AAA technician was unable to remove the tire and said the vehicle would need to be taken to a full-service auto shop. I then called Firestone Complete Auto Care to see if my vehicle could be looked at there. The Firestone technician let me know the problem with getting the tire off was relating to the lug nuts. He explained Jeep started using a 2-piece lug nut, where water gets inside and causes swelling. The technician said he has seen this numerous times in Jeeps...and mentioned it should be a recall because it is a safety issue. I contacted Jeep 5 times about this. They said there is no recall, and they didn't really care to help me with this. I ended up paying to replace all the lug nuts on my vehicle because I didn't want to have the same thing happen or worse. The people at Jeep have been very dismissive about this, although I have seen many complaints and reviews relating to the same lug nut issue.

I-€™ve had this vehicle for a few years now and at the time of purchase the vehicle had 16,000-18,000 miles on it. It-€™s a 2016 and I believe I purchased the vehicle in 2019 so I-€™ve had it for about three years now. I didn-€™t really start to pay any attention to the shaking/shimmy/wobble that the vehicle has until about a year after I purchased it because at first it wasn-€™t nearly as noticeable as it is today and I had just upgraded from a cheap little Chevy cobalt that was a beater and the jeep was a huge upgrade and improvement from that vehicle causing me to gloss over the problem initially. The problem seems to get worse over time and regardless of me getting new tires, getting them balanced and alignments the same shaking/wobbling/shimmying persists. No issues can be determined that would cause the problem and I am told that the shaking is normal upon reaching higher speeds or that the complaint cannot be replicated. The shaking starts anytime I begin to reach speeds around 45 mph and higher and then seem to stop once reaching speeds around 65 mph. To test further I-€™ve reached speeds of around 80 mph and again the shaking starts once you get around 70 mph but does not stop shaking when letting off of the accelerator as it does at speeds of 65 mph and lower but instead continues to shake while both pressing the accelerator and letting off of the accelerator becoming worse if you apply the brakes. The shake seems to come from only the front wheels and is violent enough of a shake that it can be visibly witnessed and also felt by looking at the steering wheel and holding onto the steering wheel. Issue persist and has not been resolved. Tires also show uneven and irregular wear on the tread of both front wheels. Front tires need to be replaced more frequently than the rear tires. Rear tires always seem to look almost new while the front tires look as if they weren-€™t changed at the same time as the rear tires. Not consistent with what would be considered normal

We own a 2016 Jeep Cherokee. Last night my wife was stranded with a flat along a busy highway. She attempted to change the tire but could not get the lug nuts off. I drove to the site and yes every lug nut on this vehicle are swelled and will not budge even with impact wrench. The issue I have is this is a known problem and people are talking about it all over the internet. Yet Jeep refuses to admit the issue or even warn it's customers to check this in case you get a flat. My wife is now scared to drive this vehicle anywhere. I get my oil changed at a Jeep dealership. You think they could warn their customers about this issue" you think they would check for this issue when we bring the vehicle in for service at an authorized Jeep dealership? why did I have to learn of this issue after the fact. Why did I have to learn of this issue on the internet"

The lug bolts have a thin chrome cover. These lug bolts seem to swell as moisture enters over time. They also become damaged as maintenance such as tire rotation is performed. They become impossible to remove with the tools supplied by the manufacturer in the event of a flat tire, leaving the vehicle stranded. I understand this is a well known problem throughout the Fiat Chrysler group line.

I had a flat tire. After mounting the spare tire and torqueing the lug bolts, (yes they are bolts not nuts) I found that the wheel was still loose. I determined that this was caused by the lug bolts being too long for the steel spare wheel which is not the same thickness as the aluminum factory wheels

I purchased my 2016 Jeep Cherokee in March of 2016, and took delivery in June of 2016. After having munti0le maintenance issues with it, it was determined that my Jeep had 2 different tire sizes on it. Two tires had a circumference of 60R and the other two had a circumference of 65R. Fiat-chryslwr has refused to make amends to this point. I did no find out until after driving 11,000 miles.

In November 2016 I was driving in a 35mph zone. The car began to skip and jump forward. Without warning the service shifter light came on and all my lights for the shifter came on (P, R, N, D). The car which was in drive immediately shifted into park and I lost all control. Thankfully I was able to come to a stop and call for a tow truck. The issue was fixed under warranty and they said it's a defect in the shifter. The service department was very vague when explaining this to me. Two weeks later I I was told I could pick up my car. Fast forward to today 10/04/2017, my car did the same thing. I was traveling at 55 mph this time and lost all control. I had to jump a curb and drive across the lawn and into the parking lot. I have read many issues about this problem from other Jeep owners. Why hasn't a recall been issued? especially if this is a known issue. I could have caused a large accident especially since it was during rush hour. Safety of consumer and others on road need to be taken into account.

Purchased 2016 Jeep Cherokee brand new from susanville auto center and the car has now been in the shop 6 times and towed in the last time. It has now fried the coil and the spark plugs. It has been in for 2 wheel sensors, thermostate replacement at 1500 mile, coolant leak at 2500 and now the coil and plug issue while driving home from auburn ca over 200 miles from home car started jerking dash flickering and use over 3/4 tank of gas in 50 mile and would only go 45mph at 25K. I drive for a living an can not afford to be stranded in the middle of no where as a woman. I've contact Jeep Corp and of course no response. Dealer wont do anything either. Now to try ca lemon law and attorney general.
