Great, top-of-the-line $40k vehicle, loaded, in short, a bespoke beauty specially configured and ordered.
In the first months, noisy strut replaced. Noise persisted. Subsequently, stop/start module replaced, battery replaced, shift control module replaced, rack & pinion steering assembly replaced, exhaust damage from that repair fixed, struts replaced, strut plates replaced - and through it all, undercarriage noise continued. Now, suspension "clunks' on turning left or right, braking or accelerating, smooth or rough roads, immediate and progressively worse each trip.
Dealer called last week to say he has given up, cannot find source, returned car saying "safe to drive"... (Question: How in Hades can the car be presumed to be safe when there is no idea of the problem?)
As of now, I can take no passengers (including family) and vehicle is a personal embarrassment. Having lost all confidence in dealer's service department, we have begun pursuing resolution thru FAC HQ.
Update from Feb 17, 2022: problem resurfaced. under warranty. fixed. traded in.
